KBO DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, advice, player pool for July 9

The 2020 KBO season is already two months in and daily Fantasy baseball players have been starting to get a better feel for the KBO DFS player pool. The KT Wiz are 2.5 games back of a playoff spot in the current KBO standings, but if they can get themselves into the KBO playoffs, Mel Rojas Jr. might have a pretty compelling case as the KBO MVP. The former Pirates draft pick leads the KBO with a 1.150 OPS and 19 home runs this season.

Rojas has been heavily rostered in KBO DFS lineups and he’s near the top of the KBO DFS price list for Thursday as the Wiz take on the Kia Tigers and their starter Drew Gagnon. The former Mets pitcher has a 3.77 ERA on the season and he’s won three of his last four decisions. Before locking in your KBO DFS picks, be sure to see the top KBO daily Fantasy picks and advice from SportsLine’s Mike McClure, a DFS pro who has won almost $2 million.

When it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

His model led him to some massive returns from his MLB DFS picks in 2019, producing daily Fantasy baseball lineups on SportsLine that returned as much as 30x. He also finished in the top 1 percent of tournaments four times and the top 0.1 percent of tournaments twice last season.

Now, with the MLB season delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, McClure has turned his attention to the KBO. Head to SportsLine now to see his top daily Fantasy baseball picks for July 9.

McClure’s top KBO DFS picks for July 9

We can tell you one of McClure’s top KBO DFS picks for Thursday morning is Kiwoom Heroes shortstop Ha Seong Kim. The 24-year-old shortstop is arguably the KBO’s top MLB prospect and he’s taking advantage of the increased exposure for the KBO with a career-high .907 OPS. He’s a serious speed and power threat with 10 home runs and nine stolen bases and the Heroes have a solid matchup against Samsung Lions starter Jung Hyun Baek (5.23 ERA).

McClure’s KBO DFS strategy also includes rostering Kiwoom Heroes first baseman ByungHo Park. The KBO legend hit 105 home runs in a two-season span with Nexen (now Kiwoom) before being sold to the Twins for a $12.5 million posting fee and then signing a four-year, $12 million contract.

However, Park struggled in 2016 with the Twins and then spent all of the 2017 season in triple-A before electing to come back to Korea. Now he’s back with Kiwoom and he’s hit 76 home runs with 210 RBI in the last two seasons. In 2020, he’s recorded 14 home runs and 39 RBI and he’s now hit four home runs in his last six games.

How to set your KBO DFS lineups for July 9
